Dear Mr. Senzo Khumalo
We are writing to respectfully request that you or a representative from your organization address our community regarding certain issues related to your services.
As you may be aware, our community has been experiencing issues to mention few, the upgrading of the system, loadshedding, load reduction and power outages. We believe that it is essential for your organization to engage with our community, provide explanations for these issues, and outline the steps being taken to resolve them.
We would like to request that you address our community at a public meeting, which we propose to hold on 8th March 2024 and Time: 10am to 2pm at Zola North office . We expect approximately +-300 community members to attend.
Some of the specific issues we would like you to address include:
– IBT
– FBE
– Smart metres
We appreciate your organization’s efforts in providing essential services to our community. However, we believe that open communication and transparency are crucial in building trust and good relationship in resolving concerns.
Please let us know if you are available to attend the meeting and if there are any specific requirements or arrangements that need to be made.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Ward 51 Concerned Community members

9 Friday May 2025 we had a formal meeting with Senzo the Eskom official and spoke about how important is public participation and the responsibility Eskom has to the Community . So we sent a formal invite to come and address the whole community and he agreed and instructed us to send an formal invitation by email . So the committee agreed that we schedule the meeting for this Saturday the 8th March 2025 from 10 till 2 but it’s subject to him confirming the date cause he said we must give him atleast 5 days notice that’s why the invite went out today . I have informed the committee about your interest to attend the meeting as well .
